Dr Adrian Pendleton is a Consultant Rheumatologist and currently the Clinical Lead for Rheumatology in the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust with clinics in the Royal Victoria Hospital and Musgrave Park Hospital.

Dr Adrian Pendleton trained in both Rheumatology and General Internal Medicine in Belfast and Nottingham and he is on the GMC Specialist Register with Dual Certification in both Rheumatology and General Internal Medicine. He was first appointed as a consultant Rheumatologist at the Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham University Hospitals before returning to the Belfast.

Dr Pendleton is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. He is currently the Regional Specialty Advisor for Rheumatology with the Joint Royal College Physicians Training Board (JRCPTB) in London and the Training Programme Director for Rheumatology for the Northern Ireland Medical and Dental Training Agency (NIMDTA). Dr Pendleton is also a member of the British Society for Sport and Exercise Medicine (BASM).

Dr Pendleton provides acute and chronic care for all Rheumatological conditions including inflammatory arthritis (Rheumatoid arthritis, Psoriatic arthritis and Ankylosing Spondylitis, Gout and Pseudogout) and Osteoarthritis., Osteoporosis and Autoimmune and Connective Tissue Diseases including Systemic Lupus Erythematosis and Vasculitis.

Dr Pendleton has many research interests which include Early diagnosis and management of inflammatory arthritis, use of musculoskeletal ultrasound in Inflammatory arthritis, vasculitis and soft tissue injury.

Dr Pendleton is available for Private consultation at the Ulster Independent Clinic and at Private rooms in the Malone Medical Chambers . He is registered with all local and national medical Insurance Companies and also welcomes enquires from patients without medical insurance.
